We’re finally closing in on a new season! Is anyone else completely over summer fashion? Ok–maybe not completely over it, but this summer’s style in the suburbs is nothing like my fave cities New York or Richmond! To give you an idea..while I’ve been home I haven’t seen one person rocking Jeffery Campbell’s or a leather skirt! I’ve left working at a local boutique because the owners said I’m “too fashionable”. And one night at a dirty bar bathroom sink, a woman next to me drunkly tied her pleather Forever 21 jacket around her waist and slurred seriously to her bestie that she’d just created a hot new style! Lol, while I’ve been so amused by suburban fashionistas, this fall season brings me a fresh city & exciting new style inspiration. For starters, I looked back to the fashion shows from fall 2013 and got a little help from my favorite designers. Below are my top picks of their most wearable looks.
Christopher Kane
Chanel
The super wide leg trouser seems like it’s going to be a huge hit for the next year or so (see Christopher Kane). I probably won’t be jumping on that bandwagon, but it is a pretty chic way to add movement into your outfit. Sort of makes me want to try out the trend with a stiffly structured Jacquard or neoprene top! I also don’t see that rounded shoulder going away anytime soon (which I love)! Which designer had your favorite look?
